Additive manufacturing, or ‘AM’, is also known as 3D printing. Lockheed Martin is collaborating with Sintavia to expand research of metal additive manufacturing. AM has the capability to improve efficiencies in existing castings and forgings supply chains, and provide parts with a higher level of detail and greater design opportunities.
