UK food manufacturer invests £6m in automation technology

Meat producer Moy Park has invested £18m to upgrade two of its UK poultry processing facilities, which will boost the company’s production capacity to six million birds per week. The manufacturer has invested £12m to install new mixing and processing equipment at its site in Grantham, and the company’s first fully-contained ‘free-from’ factory will also be created at the site as a result of the investment.
New automation technology has also been installed at Moy Park’s Anwick facility as part of a £6m investment, increasing the production efficiency of the site. The investments have been made as part of an ongoing investment programme, as the company seeks to meet rising consumer demand for poultry products.
