Advanced robotic systems and solutions manufacturer, Sarcos Technology and Robotics Corporation, recently announced its preliminary revenue for the fourth quarter of 2022 at $6.1 million and for the full year of 2022 at $14.6 million, which falls within the high end of its guidance range.
Sarcos has expanded its Guardian® product range by introducing two new systems - the Guardian® XM intelligent robotic system and the Guardian® Sea Class robotic system, alongside the existing Guardian® XT™ dexterous robotic system. Sarcos acquired the The Guardian XM and Guardian Sea Class in April 2022 through the acquisition of RE2, Inc. Following the acquisition, the company integrated RE2's Sapien products into its portfolio. Sarcos is now commercializing its Guardian XT, Guardian XM, and Guardian Sea Class systems.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, Sarcos succeeded in producing 10 Guardian XM robot manipulators, and the production of Guardian XT and Guardian XM systems is on track, with initial commercial versions of both systems to be ready by first half of 2023. Sarcos can produce 300 to 500 robots at its facilities in Salt Lake City and Pittsburgh, depending on the product mix. The firm plans partner with a contract manufacturer to increase production capacity.
