Ouster and Cyngyn partner to Deliver Lidar-Powered Autonomy Technology
Ouster Inc, a preeminent supplier of top-grade digital lidar sensors has entered into a strategic partnership with autonomous driving solutions provider, Cyngn. In 2023, Ouster's new REV7 digital lidar sensors will be added to the Cyngn DriveMod platform to provide autonomous solutions for current and upcoming material-handling vehicles.

At CES 2023, Ouster will showcase Cyngn's DriveMod platform, equipped with a REV7 sensor on a Columbia Stockchaser cargo vehicle

Ouster and Cyngn are teaming up to provide innovative autonomous solutions to help industrial organizations tackle common challenges, such as labor shortages, costly safety incidents, and increased consumer demand for e-commerce. Their self-driving solutions allow vehicle fleets to operate with little to no human intervention. Ouster and Cyngn can help pave the way for a more efficient, safer, and cost-effective future.

Cyngyn stated that its DriveMod was developed to enable faster and more cost-effective deployments of industrial autonomy solutions, thus addressing scalability and adoption issues that can impede companies wishing to benefit from increased automation. In addition, DriveMod simplifies what could otherwise be a complicated installation process and necessitates high-performance sensor technology, such as Ouster lidar sensors, to maximize the vehicle's self-driving capabilities.

DriveMod is a comprehensive autonomy integration package that transforms industrial vehicles into fully autonomous ones through the integration of lidar sensors, hardware components, and AI software. This is available for installation in new cars during production or retrofitted into existing vehicles.
