OTC to Offer Tuition-Free Manufacturing Training

The Missouri Job Center and Ozarks Technical Community College are teaming up to offer some students tuition-free learning in manufacturing.
The new program, Aspire to Create, will run from January 7, 2019, to March 22, 2019, with classes being taught up to 40 hours per week at OTC. The program is open to young adults, ages 18 to 24, who receive SNAP benefits. The participants will learn through hands-on training and skill certifications.
Participants will be paid $12 per hour while they learn and certifications are industry-recognized. Certifications include OSHA 10, Forklift, National Career Readiness Certification, and Certified Production Technician (CPT).
