Modine Selected By Oshkosh Defense To Support Major Military Program

Modine Manufacturing Company (NYSE: MOD) recently won a significant business award from Oshkosh Defense, LLC to produce cooling modules for the company's Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) contract, which serves the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. The JLTV production contract calls for Oshkosh to deliver nearly 17,000 vehicles, as well as kits and services over an eight-year period with first vehicle deliveries in October 2016. Modine's JLTV cooling module features the latest high performance heat exchanger technology with a significant focus on light-weight component designs which were critical in meeting stringent U.S. Military max weight requirements.  The system includes a radiator with integrated transmission oil cooler, charge air cooler, hydraulic oil cooler, auxiliary transmission oil cooler, air conditioner condenser, fuel cooler and steel frame subcomponents.   Four different Modine plants in North America are working together to produce this highly complex system with final assembly taking place at Modine's facility in Trenton, Missouri.
