Maysteel Industries in Allenton buys DAMAC Products

Maysteel Industries LLC, an enclosure and cabinet manufacturer based in Allenton, has acquired DAMAC Products LLC, a manufacturer of custom data center infrastructure equipment based in La Mirada, Calif. Maysteel itself was acquired earlier this year by LJC Investments III LLC, an investment vehicle controlled by Littlejohn Capital LLC. Maysteel CEO Kevin Matkin said the DAMAC acquisition is an important step to continue transforming Maysteel by broadening its geographic footprint. DAMAC will retain its name and keep its headquarters in La Mirada after the transaction. According to a Maysteel news release, DAMAC’s products include server cabinets, wallmount racks, seismic and thermal management products, power distribution equipment and cable runway systems. Angus Littlejohn Jr., Littlejohn Capital's founder, said the custom products offered by DAMAC and the company's reach in several different fields made it an important investment. DAMAC currently serves a number of industries, including cloud computing, cloud storage, colocation, energy, finance, retail, and telecommunications, according to the firm's press release. It is also eyeing potential expansion into the healthcare, education and government industries.
