Lancashire3D opens first 3D printing studio for prototyping and serial production

A 3D printing studio offering prototyping and serial production services has opened in the North of England.
Lancashire3D was founded in April 2018, and with the launch of its first facility is ready to produce prototypes and end-use components using material extrusion and VAT photopolymerization processes. The company currently boasts 35 machines and has had early dealings with trade and consumer customers, harnessing its 3D printing capacity to fulfill prototyping requests, as well as small runs of between 10-2,000+ units, and larger runs of 5,000+ items.
Operating out of Preston, Lancashire3D is also preparing to offer 3D scanning and reverse engineering services and is making headway on bringing powder bed fusion technologies in-house too. Also in 2019, the company is committed to ensuring sustainable production through the use of up to 90% recycled thermoplastics and 100% recyclable paper-based packaging.
