Ineos to increase EtAc production at manufacturing site in Hull, UK
Belgium-based Ineos Oxide is expanding its Hull manufacturing facility in the UK to boost production of ethyl acetate (EtAc) by 100,000t a year. The additional capacity is expected to be available by the end of next year. EtAc is used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, inks and flexible packaging. The Hull plant is already operating at full capacity and its expansion will enable the company to continue to serve European customers. It will support import of raw material and export of EtAc and will also benefit from easy logistical access to Europe and the markets worldwide.
