On December 30, CECO Environmental Corp., a leading environmentally minded, diversified industrial business, announced that its CECO Busch brand recently provided an integrated, multi-product line aluminum chip-collecting and recycling solution to a top North American manufacturer of aluminum plates, sheets, and extrusions for its new milling machine. The company provides solutions that safeguard people, the environment, and industrial equipment. This system is being built and is scheduled to be completely operational in early 2022.
The integrated system is intended to gather tons of aluminum scrap, a byproduct of aluminum mill production. Aluminum companies generate waste material at a rate of up to 25 tons per hour when they grind the surface of slabs before final rolling. CECO's custom-engineered solution collects and recycles this scrap material by integrating and utilizing the power of CECO technologies such as CECO Flex-Kleen dust collection and CECO Fisher-Klosterman cyclone separation systems.
