Aleris’s Chinese Mill Joins Move Into Higher Grades For Airbus

Just four years after opening, a Chinese aluminum mill of U.S. aerospace supplier Aleris will fully participate in the company’s shift into more advanced production for Airbus. The plant will supply higher-grade aluminum for wing skins and introduce machining to cut costs of the final parts, said Ingo Kroepfl, vice president for Aleris’s aerospace business.
