AEM Conveys Equipment Manufacturer Interests at AED Ottawa Briefing

AEM joined the leading industry group representing dealers of construction equipment to convey shared industry priorities in Canada last week.
To help support the equipment manufacturing industry’s goals of expanding its advocacy footprint in Canada, AEM staff and members were proud to participate in the Associated Equipment Distributors’ (AED) Ottawa Briefing.
The briefing focused on ways to advance the industry’s goals on issues like taxes, trade, infrastructure and workforce development policies and coincided with the annual release of Canada’s Federal Budget. AEM met with the Conservative Leader of Canada and Members of Parliament to convey initial feedback on the budget, and stress priorities going forward.
AEM also helped to support the gathering by sponsoring a reception on Parliament Hill to engage with elected officials in Canada and speak more about industry issues. AEM will continue to provide the Canadian government recommendations on how changing federal policy can expand economic growth for the equipment manufacturing industry.
