3D Hubs raises $18m and sets sights on further automation & North American headquarters

3D Hubs has raised $18m through a Series C round of funding led by Endeit Capital, with contributions from the founders of Ultimaker and Booking.com. The company will use the investment to advance the automation of its quoting, design validation, and the smart order routing to its global network of suppliers, as well as open up a US headquarters and expand its offering of injection moulding and CNC machining.
Its largest round to date, 3D Hubs has now successfully raised $30m through series funding. In this most recent lot of investment, Hearst Ventures, EQT Ventures, Balderton Capital, Erik de Bruijn, founder of Ultimaker, and Arthur Kosten, founder of Booking.com, all participated.
