Siemens Materials Solutions 3D printing facility installs four Guyson systems

Industrial finishing and cleaning equipment manufacturer, Guyson, has installed four of its systems inside Siemens Materials Solutions additive manufacturing facility in Worcester. The new Guyson Euroblast 8, pressure feed, blast finishing systems complete with side loading turntables, are designed to remove semi-sintered particles from printed components and provide an even cosmetic finish.
The facility, which houses 15 AM systems, already uses a number of smaller machines from Guyson including model 2 and model 4 Guyson Euroblast blast cabinets. The new larger systems have been installed to enable handling of larger AM components due to their internal blast chamber dimensions of 1050 mm (w) x 1050 mm (d) x 880 mm (h) and component access options. Each cabinet is also fitted with a side loading turntable, allowing heavy components with a max 300 kg evenly distributed load to be loaded outside the blast cabinet via forklift or crane if necessary.
