Desktop 3D printer manufacturer, Aleph Objects has debuted the LulzBot TAZ Workhorse Edition this week, the latest in its line of TAZ extrusion-based systems. Following the popular LulzBot TAZ 6, the Workhorse is said to deliver larger, faster and higher quality prints and introduces automatic X/Y/Z backlash compensation for improved print accuracy.
The machine features a 14% bigger build volume (280 mm x 280 mm x 285 mm) compared to the TAZ 6 (280 mm x 280 mm x 250 mm) and a new belt-driven Z-axis and lightweight tool head design. Users will be able to work with a wide range of polymer materials including high-heat and high-strength composite filaments due to the machine’s hardened-steel tool head components which come as standard. The company has also introduced an all-new LulzBot-designed tool head with 360°cooling to improve overhang and bridge performance.
