In 2021, Indonesia’s food and beverage manufacturing sector will contribute 6.4% to the country’s GDP. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the food and beverage manufacturing industry posted positive year-over-year growth of 3.94% in the first quarter. The Indonesian Food and Beverage Manufacturers Association (GAPPMI) expects the industry to grow by up to 7% in 2021. Revenues from the food and beverage manufacturing industry are projected to grow at an annual rate of 13.8% in 2022, with the market reaching $423 billion in 2022. Meanwhile, Indonesia's global food and beverage exports have exceeded US$8 billion. Indonesian products that are in high demand in the home market include packaged food, seafood, health food, edible oil, health food, health food and functional drinks, tea and coffee.
