Fibria’s pulp production process

The global leader in the production of bleached eucalyptus pulp, Fibria invests in the cultivation of forests as a renewable and sustainable source of life, generating wealth and economic growth while promoting human and social development and ensuring the conservation of the environment. To produce its pulp, the company uses only timber from planted trees. Almost all the energy consumed by Fibria is self-generated and comes from biomass waste left over from the production process. Currently, 68% of the pulp manufacturing waste is reused, partly in silviculture operations. Unutilized waste is disposed of in suitable industrial landfi lls.
