Smart MFG Tech Introduces the Industry's First NFT Platform for 3D Models and Industrial Design Collectibles

Smart MFG Tech | April 12, 2021

Smart MFG Tech, LTD. has announced the upcoming release of NFT. SMARTMFG.IO is the first integrated tokenization and marketplace solution to create, preserving, offering, and distributing industrial design assets like non-fungible tokens (NFTs). It will allow users to build and list one-of-a-kind NFTs, engage in auctions, and commission custom-made industrial design and 3D models, as well as antique and novelty design for automotive, aerospace, space, drones, rockets, interior design, and other fields.

The use of NFTs has grown in popularity in recent months. Sales volume across major NFT marketplaces increased nearly 800% in February 2021, reaching more than $200M. However, broad-based mainstream adoption is yet to be applied for real utility outside of traditional and popular art.

NFTs for 3D Modelers, Industrial Designers, Mechanical Engineers, and Collectors

NFT.SMARTMFG.IO is based on SyncFab's pioneering enterprise NFT innovations which has been extended to include a much larger audience of non-enterprise customers who will benefit from this technology in their industrial design and collector activities. The solution would cater to 3D designers, industrial designers, mechanical engineers, architects, vintage automotive and novelty spacecraft collectors, as well as enthusiasts of innovation hardware collectibles, who choose to tokenize and sell their works as NFTs.

"This is not only a significant and valuable trend for marketplaces and creators; it also reflects tremendous customer demand – for collectibles, artwork, moments, and almost anything that can be tokenized on the blockchain," said Hikaru Yuki, Executive Director. "Smart MFG Tech looks forward to supporting the industry – creators, designers, collectors, 3D designers, engineers, storefronts, and customers – with our approach for enabling a user-friendly, mainstream NFT marketplace interface with the power of crypto connectivity and MFG."

Smart MFG Tech has announced upcoming features that will be available in the coming weeks, such as support for both enterprise and non-enterprise NFT creation and marketplace services, as well as accounts for NFT asset creators. Its marketplace accepts MFG and Ethereum-based crypto payments to encourage broader acceptance of NFT tokenization of Industrial Design for novelty and vintage design collectibles.
