iBASEt Expands Collaboration with Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC)

iBASEt | January 11, 2023

iBASEt, a company that simplifies manufacturing and maintenance of complicated products for its clients, recently announced an expansion of its collaboration with the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) by becoming a Tier 1 MTC member. iBASEt will make its Solumina iSeries-powered Digital Operations Suite available to MTC members and researchers of its National Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Technologies. The cloud-native solution will assist UK manufacturers in developing, collaborating, and speeding up the transition to a fully digital operations system strategy. During an Industrial Transformation Roundtable, this expanded partnership was declared at the MTC in Coventry. The panelists examined how the UK's manufacturing industry can collaborate to advance digitalization, boost productivity, and address sustainability. "UK manufacturing needs to collaborate to compete. Our expanded partnership with iBASEt provides the digital tools required to bring everything together. We all want to complete the 'Fourth Industrial Revolution' and move to digital, but it's worth remembering the first industrial revolution didn't happen in a day," said Professor Ken Young, Technology Director, MTC. He further stated, "We need to work together to digitise and optimise entire supply chains before UK manufacturing can truly reap the rewards." (Source- PRNewswire) About iBASEt iBASEt software simplifies how complex products are developed and maintained. Since 1986, Southern California-based iBASEt has provided digital continuity for manufacturing, quality, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. The company’s customers of the company include Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney, and Textron. Its solutions are paperless, digitally integrated solutions that replace disparate production, quality, and MRO applications. iBASEt Digital Operations Suite synchronizes data and processes across business systems for internal and external teams to promote cooperation. Realtime Robotics Selected Official Supplier for BMW Group

Realtime Robotics | February 21, 2023

Autonomous and collision-free motion planning solutions provider for industrial robots, Realtime Robotics, has been selected as an official supplier for the BMW Group, the company announced recently. With this accreditation, the company's advanced robot motion planning and control software, RapidPlan, can be used by the BMW Group to accelerate and enhance the effectiveness of industrial robot deployment, programming, and control. The software's capacity to assist teams in quickly visualizing, prioritizing, and simulating robot pathways help speed-up industrial automation in many ways. With RapidPlan in place, customers can increase the productivity of their scanning operation by automating the robot movements and optimising the scan points. This helps technicians to focus on setting up and validating the last few difficult-to-reach areas rather than spending it reviewing and validating every scan point. Peter Howard, CEO at Realtime Robotics, said, “Manual motion planning in multi-robot systems is prohibitively expensive for all but the largest lot sizes and longest-lived products.” He further added, “Making it easy for manufacturers to create collision-free path plans by simply ‘pointing and clicking’ can save organizations weeks to months of programming time.” (Source – Business Wire) About Realtime Robotics Realtime Robotics develops and provides collision-free, autonomous motion planning solutions. The company’s specialized processor enables robots to operate in unstructured, collaborative work environments and respond to other motions as soon as they are seen. The solutions include features such as high-productivity multi-robot workcells, risk-aware driving, and automated robot vision with continuous calibration capabilities.
