Hawk Ridge Systems | June 15, 2022
Hawk Ridge has opened a new additive manufacturing facility in the Santa Clara Valley. The need for a more robust facility became evident as the company's 3D printing product portfolio developed and expanded over the last few years. The digital manufacturing lab features the latest technology from hp and markforged 3d printing.
We are excited about moving our Digital Manufacturing Lab to a more spacious and accommodating facility and displaying our additive solutions is important in order to demonstrate their value, features and capabilities to our clients – and this space allows us to do just that "
Paul Rudin, VP of Digital Manufacturing-Hawk Ridge Systems.
The organization provides the most comprehensive range of 3D design and manufacturing solutions, with Markforged newest and envisioned printer- the FX20. With cutting-edge software and materials, the FX20 can print high-temperature thermoplastics reinforced with continuous fiber faster than ever. In addition, AMT's latest post-processing solutions will also be available in the lab.
We're thrilled to expand our additive manufacturing capabilities with the opening of this new location. We hope to bring value to the Bay Area community while being an integral part of the local manufacturing sector."
Dale Ford, CEO of Hawk Ridge Systems.

Diodes | June 06, 2022
Diodes Incorporated (Diodes) (Nasdaq: DIOD) recently announced that the acquisition of onsemi's wafer fabrication facility and activities in South Portland, Maine ("SPFAB") had been completed.
Diodes will combine the South Portland plant and fab operations, including the transfer of SPFAB personnel to Diodes, as previously announced. Diodes will continue to manufacture onsemi's products from SPFAB as part of a multi-year wafer supply deal, while onsemi completes the transition of this manufacturing to its other wafer fabs.
We are pleased to successfully complete this transaction, which aligns with our strategic objective for significant revenue and gross profit dollar growth over the next several years, First, I would like to welcome SPFAB employees to the Diodes’ family. The team’s exceptional engineering capabilities and skills will support our technical and operational performance expectations. SPFAB provides additional 200mm wafer fab capacity for analog products to accelerate our growth initiatives in the automotive and industrial end markets."
Diodes’ chairman, president and chief executive officer, Dr. Keh-Shew Lu
This US-based facility, together with our existing facilities in Asia and Europe, further enhances our global manufacturing footprint and greatly increases Diodes’ internal capacity and competitive advantage in this supply constrained environment, while also supporting our future long-term growth. With the transaction now closed, we aim to aggressively ramp new wafer fab processes and capabilities at SPFAB in alignment with Diodes’ strategic growth plan.”

3D PRINTING,INDUSTRIAL 4.0
John Deere | July 15, 2022
Today, Vertex Software, Inc., a pioneer in 3D manufacturing visualization and cloud collaboration technology, announces that they have been selected as a supplier to Deere & Company, a leading global manufacturer of agricultural, forestry, and other heavy equipment and an Industry 4.0 innovator.
John Deere employees will use Vertex to access the state of the factory, service needs for equipment, forecast planning, and gather information about how equipment functions in real time. They can access the content on any computing device in seconds, including tablets, laptops, and smartphones.
By pushing 3D information data beyond the engineering department, Vertex's purpose-built software will support John Deere's Industry 4.0 initiatives, including Smart Connected Factory programs, by delivering real-time, actionable 3D data across manufacturing and business operations.
The Vertex 3D Platform dramatically reduces the time, cost, and effort needed to use 3D visualizations across the manufacturing value chain. The platform will help John Deere build and deploy fit-for-purpose apps that deliver decision-making systems with rich, interactive 3D content.
The sheer size and sensitive nature of CAD data, the cost of 3D hardware and software, and the number of data formats and software systems have made it nearly impossible to use 3D product data beyond engineering.
Now, Vertex makes it possible to engage customers, employees, suppliers, and partners with 3D data wherever they are on whatever devices they use. Vertex extends the reach of 3D data to reduce supply chain bottlenecks, accelerate time-to-market, and increase sales by providing easy access to viewable 3D information that enhances productivity and reduces expenses.
"For the first time, manufacturers have a truly effective way to leverage their 3D data assets beyond engineering, We're like Netflix for CAD. You can now reach everyone, everywhere, instantly with 3D."
-Dan Murray, CEO & Founder of Vertex Software.
