FutureStitch is the first U.S.-based manufacturer in China to receive the LEED Platinum certification, which recognizes FutureStitch's achievement in operating a healthier, more energy and resource-efficient building. The facility's low environmental impact features include:
Low Impact Construction: The factory was built using a fraction of the concrete typically used to build manufacturing facilities, and, instead, is constructed with recycled, ultra-durable metals like aluminum alloys and steel.
Low Power Usage: 500,000 kilowatts (kWh) of power is saved annually through the use of efficient lighting, on-site solar heating, and maximized access to natural lighting, reducing annual carbon dioxide emissions by 498.5 tons.
Geothermal HVAC: A geothermal air conditioning system pumps cooled groundwater through the building, reducing energy costs and eliminating the need to use any ozone-depleting substances.
Air Quality: Fresh air is circulated throughout the factory, including the production workshops, to reduce carbon dioxide and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and maintain high air quality.
Low Water Usage: State-of-the-art chemical injection systems alleviate need for waste water. Products are finished using a dry-cleaning method instead of wet processes.
Green Transportation: More than 90% of employees commute through green travel.
FutureStitch's 300,000-square-foot office in China's Zhejiang Province opened in October 2018. DAVCO, the market leader in North America for fuel heater/water separator and more, is investing $3.5 million in its Saline, Michigan, campus to establish an Advanced Electronics Manufacturing Center, extending the company's manufacturing capabilities into advanced electronics technologies in preparation for the arrival of electric-powered commercial vehicles. The state-of-the-art facility will be adjacent to DAVCO's current manufacturing facility and is scheduled to open in early 2022. Company officials anticipate that this new facility will result in the creation of 20 new jobs.

A Manufacturing Showcase for the Transportation Industry's Future
The new DAVCO Advanced Electronics Manufacturing Center is located on the DAVCO corporate office property in Saline, Michigan, where renovations have been underway since fall 2021. The $3.5 million capital investment includes a clean room for component manufacturing, which is becoming increasingly critical in developing next-generation vehicle technology. By consolidating manufacturing at the new Michigan plant, a dedicated team will assemble Road Ready telematics hardware effectively. Road Ready manufacturing encompasses all Road Ready hardware, mobile communications units, smart bridge integrators, and Road Ready-exclusive sensors. Cohu, Inc., a global leader in back-end semiconductor equipment and services, announced that it had received a multi-system Diamondx tester order from a large Korean display driver manufacturer for AMOLED driver ICs used in mobile device applications.
Diamondx’s air-cooled test platform was selected for its production proven ability to test next generation display driver ICs with high test parallelism, enabling a faster production ramp and accelerating time-to-market. The platform scalability can address various display driver ICs, including TDDI (touch and display driver integration), OLED and logic and power management ICs in a universal low-cost configurable test platform.
We are very pleased with this design-win at a leading display driver manufacturer in South Korea, delivering on the strategy to expand our served addressable market and create new growth vectors for our semiconductor test business. We estimate the display driver IC test market to be approximately $150 million.
